This city kicked my ass today. I am, however, trying to rise above it. Im trying to view it as an exercize in detachment. There really are more important things in life than gadgets and gizmos, and until this happened, I was indeed very happy with my lot. As a person drifts around this city, you are likely to be swept up by good and bad luck. Neither lasts, and all you can do is learn to swim, and hold your breath when a really big wave breaks over your head. There will always be some good weather, some good friends to buoy you back up.
Still, losing a brand new laptop is really fucking annoying.

Nine steps... West.
I had a very 'hong kong' day today. It involved taking lots of taxis, having lunch, coffee, pool and drinks in an expensive bar and attempting to go to the cinema then realising that everything has sold out. I just drank lime-soda, since I gave up alcohol last night, and 200 dollar cocktails dont quite fit into my budget right now. Neither did this brand new shiny laptop that Im currently typing on, but sometimes, you have to take some steps backwards before you can go forwards again, right?
This weekend has been pretty eventful actually. The most important thing Ive realised is that only you can truly make yourself happy, and also that I like shoe sales at Nine West far too much to not get a job really, really soon.

Pause // Play [>
Pause.
I pressed pause, and now Im just itching to press that big green play button.
And now for the main feature:
The obligatory unsubstantiated bold assertion.
Life is about knots. Whether it's about getting in a knot or tying the knot, we're all basically scrambling around, trying to dodge the noose and climb the rope. What happens when you've wound yourself up into such a tight ball that you don't know how to unravel yourself? Well, travelling and unravelling go so well together, so I guess its best to just roll right on down that hill and see where it takes you.
Here's to rolling with it.
